Great album, and MOV did a squeamish job with this reissue. Dynamic sound and tranquility vinyl. It's not AAA or at the level of AP, Impex, or Speakers Corner reissues, merely not far off, especially for price.
dead quiet pressing (you can hear him piece of work the pedals). nice round soundstage; well-balanced. practiced stuff.
Anybody else some foreign high sound (sax?) on the intro of D1? After xx to 25 seconds? Apart of that in that location were also a lot of crackles on that vocal. (record has been cleaned)
In that location is no mastering info here! Since this series (Jazz Originals past Henri Renaud) usually differs from the US Columbia counterparts, I don't remember that this CD was mastered past Thou. Wilder and that the info here should be removed.
Monk's mad genius shines through. I love the extended pianoforte solos past Monk who is joined by Charlie Rouse on tenor sax, Ben Riley on drums, and Larry Gales on bass. 1 of my favorites from Monk. Excellent pressing.

Man, this anthology sounds so good! Absolutely worth adding to the collection. Quiet pressing. Clean audio with clear musical instrument separation. And merely all effectually awesome music.
Have an SACD with spine: CK 64886. Otherwise identical.
Anyone take Runout numbers on this? Mine reads: XSM117055 1A, XSM11705 1A. It too is mislabeled, both sides say side 1 and accept the same tracks.
